Welcome to the Maryland Board of Nursing

In support of the Governor's State of Emergency Executive Order, the Maryland Board of Nursing has modified the 30 day grace period for license or certificate renewals effective immediately. This modification will allow applicants to renew their license or certificate on our website up to 365 days after their expiration date. This change is being implemented to increase and improve the renewal process..

Beginning on Friday October 16, 2020, the Maryland Board of Nursing will reopen to the public for DOCUMENT DROP OFF ONLY. You may drop off applications and other documents between the hours of 9:00 am and 4:00 pm daily. Please have all documents copied prior to dropping them off as we will be unable to copy them for you.

All documents must be in a sealed envelope with your name clearly printed and attention to the appropriate department.

Please note the lobby remains closed to the public. All other services will be provided by appointment only. If you require in-person assistance with your license or certification, you must request an appointment (by email only) with the appropriate department by using the emails links listed below:

If you are requesting an appointment, you must include "APPOINTMENT" in the subject line of the email or your request will not be processed. Once your request is reviewed, you will be contacted by a department specialist with the next available appointment date and time. You must respond to that email in order to confirm the appointment or the date will not be reserved.
